ATV Quads
Enjoy the stunning views on the mountain. Be sure to bring a camera so you can capture these moments for later. In about 1,5 hours we then drive back down on a different route. We take our time to stop along the way and enjoy the views. If you want, you can bring a passenger for a reduced price. That way you can take turns and enjoy the scenery on the back of the ATV!
When we arrive back at the camp, it’s time for a lunch. Enjoy a lush Thai lunch with many options to choose from and gear up for the next adventure: the 10 km white water rafting experience!
Rafting
This is the signature rafting trip of the Mae Taeng river. After a short 15 minute drive we arrive at Sop Khai village, where we will have a safety briefing. 8Adventures has an 100% safety record and we like to keep it that way! Then we set off on our adventure. The first 3 kilometers takes us through class 3 rapids. It’s an exciting trip through amazing scenery. A few class 4 rapids are present at the end, where we enter the main class 4 section.
Here it’s time to get ready for some action! The guides check with eachother and give the signal to drop down into the first class 4 rapid. It’s a bumpy but exciting way down and when we reach the bottom it’s time for a paddle high five. Great job! You just completed the most exciting rapid in the north of Thailand. But it doesn’t stop here: there are 4 more kilometers of class 3 rapids waiting for you and it’s still 5 more kilometers back down to the basecamp. If you’re lucky you’ll see some elephants while we float down this scenis part of the river.
On arrival back in basecamp, it’s time to shower and change into dry clothes (please bring a set). Enjoy a drink in the camp before it’s time to head back to Chiang Mai. We will arrive there anywhere between 16:00 and 19:00. The timing depends on the group size and the water speed during the rafting. Book it online here!
