Our next stop is the Three Kings Monument, located close to the temple. After some sightseeing here it’s time to visit the Silver temple. This temple was founded in 1501 by King Mengrai and was renovated in 2004. The most beautiful sight here is a silver coloured building that shines in the sunlight. Bring a camera here as it’s beautiful!
Our next stop is Wat Srisupan. This is an important centre in Chiang Mai for handicrafts. Silversmiths try to preserve the tradition and pass on their techniques to new generations of smiths at the Lanna arts study centre. When visiting the temple you are encouraged to see the silversmiths at work.
Our last stop of the day is Warorot Market. Here you can enjoy the atmosphere of the Sunday market in Chiang Mai. It is also the location of the famous night bazaar. Locals do most of their shopping at Warorot Market. You can have a look at the fresh fruits and vegetables here, or go shopping for souvenirs, clothing, seafood, jewelry or flowers. The prices here are the lowest in Chiang Mai, so bring some pocket money to enjoy the local goods!
After around 3 hours we are ready to head back to your hotel or other location in Chiang Mai. You should be back there at around 11:30 or 16:30, depending on if you decide to do the morning or afternoon tour. Get a taste of Chiang Mai’s old city in the comfortable seat of a tuk tuk!
